Employees are always considered the most valuable asset in every corporate firm, and people management is the most critical element controlled by their HRM department. The Human Resource Management (HRM) team's key responsibility is to continue to expand the organization's pool of human capital, which can lead to the selection of the right candidate for the right role. THE DEFINITION OF RECRUITMENT:

PROCEDURES FOR RECRUITING

The recruitment process is divided into three major steps, or phases:

1. Before putting up a job advertisement,

2. The selection procedure

3. Requirements following the candidate's selection

The HRM departments of various organizations usually follow the following procedures while recruiting:

1.      Planning- The HRM department prepares a frame of ideal candidates for the vacant post in this step. The job's abilities and competencies are identified, as well as the qualifications and amount of experience required to carry out its tasks. Once the structure is in place, HR determines the best communication channel for getting information about job openings to the most qualified individuals.

2.      Applications are accepted- The HR department begins receiving applications for the job opening after the advertisement for the job vacancy is issued through internal and external sources of recruitment. The HR department usually informs the candidate that their application has been received by the company and that the sorting process is underway. Many businesses use an applicant tracking system (ATS) to notify job applicants that their application has been received and is being processed.

3.      Stage 1 of the selection process is to rule out unqualified candidates- The selection process begins at this point, with the HRM department canceling any applications that are not suited for the job. The application can be weeded out if the candidate's qualifications or experience do not match.

4.     Stage 2 of the selection process is to arrange the candidates- The applicants that fulfill the job vacancy's requirements are then graded based on their experience and qualifications on paper. The ratings indicate how well the applicant matches the requirements of the open position. It's a time-consuming procedure, and many people utilize excel sheets to sort through applications and score them according to their suitability for the position.

5.     Interview rounds are the third stage of the selection process- Candidates who have been ranked and selected for the interview phase will be contacted. There are multiple interview rounds, which can range from 2 to 6 depending on the organization's selection process. The HR phase usually entails checking the candidate's background, personality, and behavioral compatibility. The manager interview round is frequently used to assess a candidate's actual work fit.

6.      Stage 4 of the selection process in the future work scenario- This is the final round of selection, in which the candidate is given real work activity. It includes questions or tasks applicable to the candidate's area of competence. It provides an accurate assessment of the candidate's potential to function as a future employee of the company.

7.      Requirements of Acceptance and Participation- Usually, the company extends an offer of employment to two or three of the top candidates. The joining requirements include submitting required papers and signing the organization's work contract. Following the conclusion of the necessary paperwork, the employee's starting date is set, and the new recruit is welcomed into the business (HRHelpBoard, 2017).

      Conclusion

Identifying the most qualified and talented people at the correct moment, as well as
how to carry out the process to keep the organization on track.
